Campfire Restrictions in place – Blackwood

Location: Balingup to Donnelly River Village

As summer approaches, we are heading toward the annual campfire bans at campsites.

As at 7 November 2024, campfires are restricted to between 6pm – 10am at Gregory Brook Campsite between Balingup and Donnelly River Village.

Full campfire bans will come into force soon.

Please note that campfires are prohibited all year round at the Blackwood Campsite due to it being situated in an extreme Fire Risk Area.

Mice problem

Location: South of Balingup

Walkers should be aware that there is significant problem with mice at Blackwood Campsite. 

Hang food away from walls and uprights, and use your tent instead of staying in the shelter to avoid a sleepless night. 

Mice have been reported to be active before dark and throughout the night.
