Campfires Prohibited – Blackwood

Location: Balingup to Donnelly River Village

As of 6 December 2024, campfires are prohibited for all Bibbulmun Track campsites between Balingup and Donnelly River Village due to fire risk.

This includes:

• Blackwood
• Gregory Brook

Please note that campfires are prohibited all year round at the Blackwood Campsite due to it being situated in an extreme Fire Risk Area.

Plantation Timber Harvest Operation – Dalgarup

Location: South of Blackwood Campsite

Increased number of plantation harvest trucks will be using Tulia Road where the Bibbulmun Track traverses along as they operate out of Dalgarup plantation. 

A section of about 1km of track will be affected by the higher volume of vehicle traffic, including a narrow bridge that crosses the Blackwood River. 

There is no diversion in place. Walkers need to exercise caution when using Tulia Road and bear in mind that heavy vehicles have reduced sightlines and increased stopping distances. Harvest truck traffic is limited to 25km/h along this section.
