Equipment Hire
Please read the hire conditions carefully
- In placing an order, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to the below conditions.
- Once your order has been received, we will confirm availability. Until then, your order is not confirmed.
- Hire and bond charges are current at time of printing & may be subject to change.
- Items are hired on a week by week basis only.
- Hire fees must be paid for at the time of booking (not time of collection).
- A refundable bond is charged upon collection of the equipment. Equipment cannot be collected unless the bond is paid in full. The bond is to be paid by credit card (VISA or Mastercard). The bond is generally capped at $500 per hire set, but exceptions may apply. Please consult with the Foundation. The same card should be presented for the bond refund.
- Equipment can only be collected and returned during office hours (10:00am – 3:45pm; we are closed Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays).
- If the equipment hire booking is cancelled more than 7-days before the commencement of the hire period, then a 10% cancellation fee will apply.
- If the equipment hire booking is cancelled within 7-days of the commencement of a hire period, then only a 50% refund will be made. If a cancellation is made the day prior, no refund will be made.
- There will be no refunds for hire on unused hire periods once the equipment has left the premises.
- Equipment must be returned:
- by 3.45pm on the last day of the hire period. If equipment is returned late a charge of $10 per day per item will be made.
- clean, dry and undamaged to our satisfaction. Faults or damage must be reported upon return. Where applicable, the cost of replacing, cleaning or repairing damaged equipment will be deducted from the bond.
- In particular, sleeping bag liners must be washed and dry before being returned.
- If the equipment is returned late, a daily fee will be deducted from the bond until the equipment is returned. If any items are not returned or need replacement, a replacement fee will be charged which may be more than the bond paid. If the equipment is returned in a dirty or damaged condition a fee will be deducted from the bond.
