Get Found with Steve-12 Jul 2024
An excellent chance to enhance your compass and map reading abilities awaits you. During this engaging yet more intensive weekend, we'll delve into additional theory, with a special focus on practical application during a Rogaine.
This experience will teach you to navigate extended distances, including night-time navigation through unmarked terrain. There are no marked trails where we go, providing a unique challenge.
Enjoy vehicle-based camping on both Friday and Saturday nights, and be ready to traverse approximately 20km throughout the entire weekend. What makes this even more special is that we set up camp at our base camp. This means you don't have to carry your overnight gear! We walk and navigate with only a day pack!

I was very nervous before attending this event, but I was always made to feel at ease especially with walking through scrub at night. Such a great way to get my confidence through the roof, not to mention how much fun we had. Do this event! - event participant
You don’t need to Get Lost with Steve (the one-day course) as a prerequisite, but it may be helpful as that course covers much more of the basic theory needed.
Exact location unknown until the week prior but usually held in bushland no more than 3hrs drive from Perth. If possible, you should plan to leave Perth at 2.30pm. But if you can't, that's ok, we will bring you up to speed very quickly on anything you miss!
