It doesn’t matter if you are religious or not, or if you have some other faith – the offer to meet with a volunteer at the start or finish of your journey is open to all… along with the chance to ring the church bells!
Hiking is something we do, and for many of us, we’ve been doing it a long time. We know how to pack food and eat on the trail… right? But having your systems dialed in isn’t always the same thing as maintaining your nutrition.

read full article2024 is the centenary of the founding of Northcliffe for group settlers. The area (others included Manjimup, Pemberton, Busselton to Augusta, Denmark to Walpole, Bridgetown and the Peel region) was chosen as one to which settlers would be sent to start their new lives and fulfil their dreams of owning some land; something that for most would have been a pipedream in the UK. There were about 30 groups in the Northcliffe area and the conditions were tough. The town’s museum is well worth a visit and has a lot in it about the area’s group settlers, including a house of a groupie family.
