- Did you have any issues finding food/supplies? Yes
- I had my favourite olive oil from Guinea Grove Farm north of Perth with every meal. I must have gone through litres of the stuff. Talk about the Mediterranean diet.
Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsIt's going to take me a long time to work out how to describe walking the Bib. There was so much beauty and variety in such a short time.
Your Best Equipment
My 49L Ossa backpack from Wilderness Threadworks in Tasmania. I also have to mention my bum bag and DCF pouches from Orb Ultralight in Sydney and the clever little Ocelot stove windshield I picked up from Flat Cat Gear in the US.
Your Worst Equipment
The stock insoles in my trail runners. They were not up to 100 km, let alone 1000.
Advice for Others
Whether you do the Bib sectionally over many years or all at once, it is one hundred per cent worth it.
Trip Details
How you completed the Bibbulmun Track:- All at once
- Who did you complete the Track with? Solo (primarily)
- Was undertaking your hike the PRIMARY/MAIN purpose of your TRAVEL from where you currently live? No
Your Experience
It's impossible to pick a favourite. Every transition is like magic.
Highlight of your trip
As brilliant as the track is, the highlights were the people I met. I think this is a common theme.
