Track Towns and Supplies
- Did you have any issues finding food/supplies? Yes
- I didn't prepare any food before starting my trip, I purchased food at each of the track towns. Generally porridge and coffee for breakfast (with condensed milk), snacks throughout the day (chocolate, lollies, trail mix, salami, cheese, etc) and for dinner packet pasta (with butter and condensed milk) and tuna.
Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsIt was an incredible journey. I wanted to push myself so I was doing very long days. I can see the appeal of going a little slower and having a more spiritual experience.
Your Best Equipment
The trecking poles. I recomend bringing two. I almost didn't bring them and I would have regretted if I didn't.
Your Worst Equipment
My shoes. They were brand new when I started my trip. By the halfway point they were covered in holes and falling apart.
Advice for Others
Do whatever you can to get onto the track. I met so many people during my trip that said something like "I'd love to do an end to end one day". Do whatever you can to get out onto the track, even if its just for a day or an overnight.
