Track Towns and Supplies
- Did you have any issues finding food/supplies? Yes
- Food choice is a personal thing, but I'm firmly of the view that it's worth taking the time to prepare a diverse range of tasty food even if it means carrying a bit more weight. We dehydrated our main meals and would do the same again.
Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsGreat experience and opportunity of a lifetime to complete this with my partner Tanya
Your Best Equipment
Good shoes, backpack, sleeping mattress and sleeping bag are all essential for a happy and enjoyable experience.
Your Worst Equipment
Although I love cooking with my trangia, I would upgrade to a jetboil if I had my time again. I estimate a >2kg weight reduction (including metho) by doing this, which would be a significant benefit for little effort or inconvenience.
Advice for Others
If walking the Bibbulmun is something that remotely appeals to you, take the leap and try it out for yourself.
