Track Towns and Supplies
- Did you have any issues finding food/supplies? Yes
- Early on, I did Steve's Food in a Fuel Stove workshop and a couple of those meals became my staple evening meals. Also, it's surprising how a small bag of crisps at the end of the day can lift my mood.
Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsThis sectional was a mix of some solo walks, many walks with a hiking partner and some group walks. Whatever worked for that section. I liked the variety.
Your Best Equipment
Over the decade of the walk, as I've been able to, I've replaced every item I carry. Best? A light, quiet, comfortable mattress.
Advice for Others
Keep it simple. Begin. You'll learn more as you go along.
Trip Details
How you completed the Bibbulmun Track:- In sections
- Who did you complete the Track with? Solo (primarily)
- Was undertaking your hike the PRIMARY/MAIN purpose of your TRAVEL from where you currently live? No
Your Experience
It's hard to beat the section from DRV through to Pemberton. I've done it in fine weather and in steady rain, and it was equally stunning on both occasions.
Highlight of your trip
Catching a glimpse of the shelter's green roof at the end of a long day. Days and nights hiking solo and feeling completely at ease.
