Track Towns and Supplies
- How many days did you stay in Track Towns? 9
- Did you have any issues finding food/supplies? No
- Most towns were very good with food, I got anything I missed in parcels without an issue. There could be more gas can size options in the smaller towns but not a large issue.

- Denmark
- Albany
Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsDon’t worry about trail names and track families, they will appear sooner than you think. Being alone in a hut is a luxury so soak it up while you can!
Your Best Equipment
Hiking poles! I used to believe they were for older people who couldn’t walk but after a 1000kms with them I can’t imagine a hike without them, they help with balance, speed, weight savings depending on your tent, and much more. Aside from the regular hiking related activities, I’ve used them as a clothes line, a chair, fly swatter, giant chopsticks and more.
Your Worst Equipment
A gas can stabiliser, the trail has tables and I used it once during the whole trail because I couldn’t be bothered to find a flat spot on a lunch table.
Advice for Others
Go out and do the track, it’s a life changing experience for everyone no matter your age. And don’t be afraid to do it alone, as a solo female hiker who is under 20 I felt very safe on the trail! If you are still worried WA is the only state that allows pepper spray.
