Bibbulmun Track maps are changing

You may notice some of our maps are now on different paper.

DBCA’s Parks & Wildlife Service have advised they will no longer be printing maps on the old waterproof paper for the following reasons:

1. the plastic- coated maps are not environmentally friendly, and
2. the cost of importing the plastic-coated paper is triple what it used to be and the increase in production cost would need to be passed on to the consumer.

The maps are no longer ‘Water-Proof and Virtually Rip Proof’, but they are more in line with our ethos of sustainability.

Not all the maps have required a reprint, consequently, there is a mix of the plastic and the new paper that will continue until all the plastic ones are sold.
