Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsIt took me a LONG time to finish my sectional e2e. In that time i hiked some sections more than a dozen times. Hiked in every season and experienced what felt like every weather condition. On those tough days, I reminded myself 'its just walking'.
Your Best Equipment
Trail runners - I will never go back to boots. Loved that i could splash through a puddle and in a km or 2, the trail runners would be dry.
Your Worst Equipment
All my gear that i used in 1997 was so HEAVY. Fast-forward 27 years and i have totally embraced the ultra-light mindset. The lighter my gear, the longer i can hike.

Your Experience
- Availability of information: Great - In 1997 there was little information avalible. I found some maps at a hiking store and with little knowledge of the Bibb, just went for it. Now planning, accessing info and keeping uptodate on track conditions is so much easier.
- Amount of Wildlife Encountered: Great - So many snakes on the south coast.
Walpole to Peaceful Bay - i love the varied landscape and have probably done this section more than 6 times.
Highlight of your trip
Always the people i meet. Ive chatted to day hikers, tour groups, school groups, overnighters, section hikers and e2e hikers. Everyone has their own unique reason for being on the Bibb.
