Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsKeep the eyes open for flocks of red-tailed black cockatoos, passing you high up in the forrest. They help to feel even more connected to nature.
Your Best Equipment
My sleeping bag.
Your Worst Equipment
Our waterpump, the filter did not perform as known/expected.
Advice for Others
Always carry an extra bar of chocolate. Sharing it with a person that is craving for it, is absolutely worth it. You can make someone really happy by carrying only 40 to 50g extra.

Your Experience
- Availability of information: Great - For planning, the information through BTF was excellent. While on the track, we relied more to alerts.dbca.wa.gov.au (linked by BTF, thank you :) ) and a facebook group.
- Amount of Wildlife Encountered: Excellent - For us from Germany, a lot was special. I want to highlight: Boobook, Red-tailed black cockatoos, Quokka, Quenda, Mardo.
From Waalegh to Mount Dale is a section I often like to think back to, although it is not really better, just different.
Highlight of your trip
I did not expect to find new friends on the trip, that was a great surprise. Next to that, we love birds and saw many species, it was a dream.
