Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsGo for it - doing some day walks to start with is a good idea to get "the hang" of your gear. I started out filling my back pack with magazines to get some "match" fitness!
Your Best Equipment
Walking poles and Osprey Aether backpack
Your Worst Equipment
None really - some I didn't use but had it for Justin - just in case!
Advice for Others
Go for it - do it at your pace and enjoy the scenery.

- How many days did it take you to complete the Track? 34
- Who did you complete the Track with? Solo (primarily)
- Was undertaking your hike the PRIMARY/MAIN purpose of your TRAVEL from where you currently live? Yes
- What first prompted you to walk the Bibbulmun Track? Word of mouth/friends

- Nothing – just relied on the Waugals and my intuition!
Your Experience
- Availability of information: Excellent - Thank-you to all the volunteers, sponsors, DBCA staff and BTF who maintain the track and huts - an outstanding contribution and so great to meet a few volunteers along the way to personally thank them for their time and input. The huts were extremely well maintained and always guarantee some water available - thank-you
- Amount of Wildlife Encountered: Excellent - Walking with the karaks in the northern ends of the track. They were my friends although they might have been quicker than me!
Each section had highlights - the varied vegetation and tree coverage - no one particular favourite all had highlights. I did some initial training walks travelling both ways - and it was amazing how different the scenery was coming from a different direction - made me wonder if I had actually been sleep walking!
Highlight of your trip
Fauna and flora and seeing it up close. Seeing the hut at the end of the day!
