Head down to Balingup for a two-day guided walking break.
Carrying only your day pack, we walk a little over 35km over the two days.
The best part of booking an event with us is that all profits go back to the maintenance of the Bibbulmun Track – you should be proud!
We set off very early on Saturday morning (bus pick up in Balingup) and begin our walk in a small patch of karri forest. Then we follow rail formations and walk through mixed jarrah forest on our way to the Blackwood River.
At the end of the first day you are transported back to Balingup to make your way to your accommodation.
On Sunday we meet in Balingup again and then transferred back to where you left off, tackling the ascent to Blackwood campsite, walking back with the guides toward Balingup.
Included perks:
- Expert advice from the Bibb Track specialists.
- Trained and experienced Bibb Track guides.
- Convenient bus transfers from Balingup on both days.
You can choose and book your own accommodation in town and we recommend that you arrive on Friday night so you can be ready for the early departure on Saturday morning.
We strongly suggest that you book your own accommodation for both nights before making this booking. Note that refunds will not be made if you fail to secure accommodation.
Walkers must be in Balingup town centre on Saturday morning for a 6.30am departure.
We suggest that you visit the Balingup Visitor Centre’s website for accommodation options.
This walk is held in conjunction with the Balingup Explorer where we camp out at our private campsite with hot showers and flushing loos (instead of staying in accommodation).

Your Event Guide/s:
Steve Sertis
Hi folks. I have been with the Foundation since 1997, when I first joined as a member and maintenance volunteer. I wanted to get involved in the ‘new’ Track after getting terribly lost on the ‘old’ Bibbulmun Track. From there I began leading walks and then came on staff in the office in 1999 as Events Manager and Lead Guide. I love walking and have done a few end-to-ends. I really get a kick out of sharing this passion with everyone. I am still a volunteer and look after Nerang Campsite. Come and join me on this event!

Hi folks, I have been a member with the Foundation since 1999 and became a volunteer guide after participating in the Walk with Dad event many years ago. See you out there!
Isabel Busch
Hi there, Isabel here. I’ve been a member since 2004 when I walked the Track end-to-end in the wettest August ever! I am also a maintenance volunteer looking after Frankland River Campsite near Walpole. I love being a volunteer guide and being able to share my passion with others.
