- Lazy hiker, use back country type packet food, packet soup, bars and nuts. Marvel at some of the creations, thought and work that other hikers put into their food.

General CommentsBeing from SA it was different and diverse, heavily timbered forests to the coastal regions. I am a grass tree junkie and WA has no comparison anywhere, must have taken thousands of photos of all different shapes and sizes.

Scarpa boots, comfortable and go anywhere.

Your Experience
The bit between Kalamunda and Albany. If I had to make a choice, anywhere with a grass tree and I thought the Pingerup plain was a special area for me.
Highlight of your trip
The shelters were a delight. Not having to carry other than a days supply of water. The diverse and interesting people you meet along the way.
