Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsI hiked end to end, north to south, in 34 days. This was my first really long hike, my previous longest had been 10 days.
Your Best Equipment
I was never cold in my Feathered Friends sleeping bag.
Your Worst Equipment
When my hands were cold I could not operate the clasps on my dry bags, and this was sometimes a problem as the time I had my gloves inside a dry bag and couldn't open it!
Advice for Others
Travel light. It makes a huge difference to the overall enjoyment if a heavy pack is not making the effort of walking too hard.

Your Experience
The karri forests and the south coast are a tie for favourite. I had rainy weather on the coast, as opposed to sunshine in the forests, but I found the coast breathtaking at every turn.
Highlight of your trip
I camped in my tent as much as possible, except when I was exhausted after a 42 kilometre day and when I anticipated heavy rain at night on the coast. Star gazing from my tent was magical on so many clear nights.
